Job Description

Qualifications: Licensed by the New Jersey State Board of Respiratory Care. Bachelor’s Degree required (Master’s Degree preferred) in relevant Sciences. Current BLS certificate is required and successful completion of all mandatory competencies and training as required by the Joint Commission, DOH and other regulatory agencies. Successful completion of study from a program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC). Must possess the Registry (RRT) credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) as a Respiratory Care Practitioner. Must possess good communications skills. Five (5) years of clinical experience as a Respiratory Care Practitioner required. Continuing Education requirements: must complete 30 Continuing Education Credits (CE) for renewal of biennial license. State Board of Respiratory Care Subchapter 13:44F-10.1. Proficient knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word as well as analytical skills. Professional attitude, customer service-oriented and works well with co-workers and other health care givers. Additional experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist may be substituted for the degree on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities: The primary purpose of Respiratory Therapy Clinical Supervisor position is to supervise and manage the clinical and technical activities of all areas of Respiratory Care Services on the assigned shift. Upon the order of a physician, administers pulmonary therapeutic, diagnostic procedures and sets-up, operates, monitors and manages various types of respiratory equipment to be utilized in the diagnosis, treatment, management, control and care of in-patients and outpatients of all ages with deficiencies and abnormalities of the cardio respiratory system.
