27010 - Nursing Administration
Job Summary: Supervises and coordinates activities of personnel on day, evening, night, weekend and holiday shifts to maintain continuity of care. Supervises and directs patient admissions, discharges and transfers. Arranges for staffing levels according to patient acuities, census and productivity standards. Assumes administrative responsibility for patient areas as assigned. Identifies, investigates and reports findings on matters which represent performance improvement opportunities.
Education: Completion of a state approved Registered Nurse program.
Licensure, Registration and/or Certification: Valid State of Oklahoma Registered Nurse License.
Work Experience: 2 -3 years related experience and supervisory experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Access as might be used in the preparation of correspondence and reports. Effective interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. Ability to integrate the analysis of data to discover facts or develop knowledge, concepts or interpretations. Ability to organize and prioritize work in an effective and efficient manner. Ability to be detailed oriented as required in the examination of clinical and numerical data.
Schedule/hours. This 'as needed' position offers the greatest schedule flexibility. There is no set schedule or number of hours per week. Shifts are worked based on employee availability and department needs. Requirements include working:
a minimum of 32 hours per month
at least 16 weekend hours per month
at least one major holiday per year
Training. All Laureate inpatient employees are required to attend paid training. This training takes place Monday through Friday. You will need to be available for the entire training, which is for approximately 2 weeks, primarily 8 am - 5 pm, but with some 7am - 7pm shifts.
