This position is accountable for the provision of safe, efficient, and therapeutically effective care to the patients of the Emergency Department. Utilizing the nursing process, care is delivered in compliance with hospital policies and procedures, legal, and regulatory standards. Coordinates continuous assessment utilizing all available data. Evaluates effectiveness of interventions and redirects plan of care as condition indicates. Assures that patient care interventions and activities are directed at the resolution of identified patient problems/needs. With appropriate input from all team members, including patient, family, or significant other; initiates, implements, and documents a patient care plan based on standards of nursing practice, policies, and procedures, established protocols, and professional judgment.
Minimum Requirements: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Idaho. 4 Years Medical/Surgical Experience Preferred. 2 Years ED or ICU Experience Preferred. Current BLS certification. ACLS preferred or must be obtained within 3 months of hire. PALS certification preferred or must be obtained within 6 months of hire. TNCC and ENPC certifications preferred or must be obtained within 1 year of hire. Additional education or certifications in your given specialty area strongly recommended within 2 years of hire (Certification Emergency Nurse or Pediatric Emergency Nurse). Must have ability to function in triage (complete triage exam) and act as Charge Nurse within 2 years of hire.
