JOB SUMMARY: The Women’s Health Resources Supervisor is accountable for the direct coordination and supervision of lactation support services across Legacy Health. Serves as a role model and resource specialist for clinical issues. Provides leadership and promotes team building amongst staff. Facilitates communication amongst staff, physicians, management and all other customers. Is responsible for effective implementation of policies, procedures & standards. Performs duties in any clinical capacity as needed. Responsible for ensuring an environment of employee satisfaction, competency and accountability and facilitating teamwork. Responsible for daily operations. Acts as a resource to staff to problem solve and distribute work assignments. Accountable for coordinating schedules and staffing coverage at all sites. The Women’s Health Resources Supervisor provides assessment, assistance, and support of infant nutrition, particularly breastfeeding, to infants, adult and adolescent mothers, and families. The Supervisor provides education to staff and physicians, as well as to the community. The Supervisor works closely with physicians and staff, and promotes collaboration and communication. The Supervisor participates effectively in the daily operations of both inpatient and outpatient care.
Education: BSN required. Exceptions may be made for current Legacy employees who demonstrate that they are actively enrolled in an accredited program and are making meaningful progress toward completion of a BSN. Demonstrated evidence of course completion will be required at the end of each term, and will be tracked by the individual’s manager.
Experience: One year of relevant clinical nursing experience at proficient to expert level of practice required. Demonstrated knowledge of operations, including staffing and scheduling, budget management, workflow planning, performance management and staff development.
Licensure/Certification: Current applicable state RN license required. IBCLC certification required.
Demonstrated ability of expert interpersonal and communication skills with colleagues, patients, families, physicians and the community.
