Randall Children’s Hospital, part of Legacy Health, is seeking a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to work in a state of the art, future driven unit. Nurse practitioners within the NICU are involved in the care of infants within the level IV NICU, and also in the leading national neonatal telemedicine resuscitation program and general newborn care. Nurse Practitioners have active memberships within the units shared governance structure and also contribute to and help with the continual education of the staff nurses. The NNP Team welcomes the opportunity to mentor NNP students from programs all over the country.
Randall Children’s Hospital was proud to open a new freestanding children's hospital in 2012. The NICU is a 45 -bed unit with a dedicated physician team. The NICU has been actively involved in the Vermont Oxford Network since the 1980’s and continues to work with this group for quality driven, family focused and national leading standards of care. The NICU within Randall children’s is known regionally for the excellent care provided to patients and families who have infant with complex medical needs.
Randall Children’s Hospital has been a regional leader in providing excellent care to an average 150,000 infants, children and teens in Portland and the Pacific Northwest every year. The hospital is one of Oregon’s largest providers of pediatric inpatient and trauma services, receiving referrals from the entire Pacific Northwest. The medical staff within the entire hospital is made up of more than 600 physicians, including pediatric medical and surgical specialists, sub-specialists, hospitalists and community pediatricians and includes inpatient pediatric hospitalists for 24-7 coverage.
This position is for a 0.9 FTE and includes rotating blocks of day shift and night shift responsibilities. As required by licensure.
Minimum 2 years experience as an NICU Staff Nurse, Level III preferred.
Current applicable state RN license required.
National Certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) required.
Current applicable state license as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner with Prescriptive Privileges (NNP-PP) required.
Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program Instructor Certification, (or within 90 days of employment).
Credentialed by Legacy Medical Staff for Category I and II privileges.
Completion of ECMO certification course preferred.
