JOB SUMMARY:
Be part of a healthcare team in the Division of Thoracic Surgery. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting physicians in the medical care and management of pre and post-thoracic patients performing such functions as making rounds, history & physical examinations, care of wounds, and inpatient / outpatient care evaluations.

The Advanced Practice Clinician will ultimately manage acuity of patients entering into the care of Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center Thoracic Surgery and help coordinate post-operative surgical issues. The position is scheduled for eight hours a day; 5 days a week. Currently there is no night or weekend call requirement. Position also includes exciting opportunities in academic development.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Masters Degree in Nursing with clinical specialization.
Two years work experience as a RN.
Current licensed to practice as a CRNP by Pennsylvania Board of Nurse Examiners.
Must have demonstrated effective skills in consultation.
Certification as an NP in the area of practice specialization is preferred.
