Job Summary: Administers nursing care to an assigned group of patients based on physician's orders and Nursing Care Plan. Consults with Registered Nurse to plan patient care. Performs a variety of direct and indirect patient care duties including data collection.
Education: Completion of a state approved Licensed Practical Nurse program.
Licensure, Registration and/or Certification: Valid State of Oklahoma LPN License.
Work Experience: 0 - 6 months related experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Working knowledge of general disease state management processes, bio-psychosocial model, and clinical pathways. Effective interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. Ability to organize and prioritize work in an effective and efficient manner. Ability to be detail oriented as required in the examination of clinical and numerical data.
Schedule/hours. This 'as needed' position offers the greatest schedule flexibility. There is no set schedule or number of hours per week, although shifts are 12 hours, 7:00 - 7:00. Shifts are worked based on employee availability and department needs. Requirements include working:
a minimum of 32 hours per month
at least 16 weekend hours per month
at least one major holiday per year
All Laureate inpatient employees are required to attend paid training. This training takes place Monday through Friday. You will need to be available for the entire training, which is for approximately 2 weeks, primarily 8 am - 5 pm, but with some 7am - 7pm shifts.
